You have the wrong idea about freedom

Overbearing, smothering and downright suffocating. We all know the type.
Having experienced it one way or another, they appear to us through relatives, friends, or god-forbid authority figures.
Perceived authority always seems to be their favourite place to nest and cocoon, fed a never-ending supply of fresh prey to satiate their hungry palate that quivers over the slightest waft of control and self-aggrandizement. You’d be hard-pressed to avoid this nasty streak buried in teachers, managers and especially public servants.
To pass the long trials of humiliation and acquiescence to the status quo, self-importance and the thirst for power must be strong. Once proven worthy through denegation, "leadership" is granted through a title, like the deed to a piece of property, which even causes some egos to mistake themselves as gods.
“I am an authority figure!”
I certainly remember a few teachers piss drunk on that phrase.
But this world has a sense of humour, almost divinely ironic. Interestingly these vicious personalities usually have the least amount of self control and inner harmony, creating an unsatisfied void and a burning desire to control everything but themselves. Although difficult to spot due to their well crafted social disguise they are slaves to their will, intoxicated from an absolute inner freedom that yields an outer oppression as they subjugate and objectify their world as if it were a toddler's toy.
In some sense yes freedom is slavery, but from the inside out.
Imagine the hubris needed to author such a stupid sign.
No home runs! And please be less competitive. Underhand throws make the game safe because overhand is overly harmful. From the countless studies and important sounding meetings, remember that health and safety overrides all aspects of individual life for the greater good. The misinformed and uneducated extremists will likely disagree but will acquire proper guidance through harsh regulation.
I think that’s enough imagining.
However there's a slightly different story behind this sign.
In Toronto if there's somewhat level ground then it's possible, and urgent, to put a crappy condo on it. Historic post office? Sounds like a crappy condo should be built on top of it (I wish that was a joke but it's not). A similar situation occurred at this location with a somewhat level ground beside a baseball diamond which urgently required a crappy condo.
Crappy condo colonizers, after moving into the garbage condo quite obviously built directly beside a baseball diamond, discovered that baseball games are loud and involve balls flying through the air. So of course the colonizers complained and the city, with its righteous overpaid tax funded workers, implemented their stupid policies to save humanity from baseballs.
A city spokesperson tells CityNews officials that the no-home-run rule is now unnecessary, given the presence of protective netting.
“Unfortunately, the signage installed in 2019 stated no home runs were permitted. However, with the new changes at MacGregor [Playground], we understand there is a redundancy around that rule listed on the existing sign,” the statement reads. “These changes include netting, planting additional trees and reviewing the types of permits issued at the diamond.”

But will this be enough to quell the crappy condo colonizers?
Maybe a crappy condo should be built directly on the baseball diamond itself!
Mildly related, where I previously lived before they were building condos on an old graveyard and had to move the bodies before getting a permit, which they morbidly accomplished to my horror. Housing urgency somehow justifies moving the dead from their resting spot, because Canada is experiencing a “shortage” due to its numerous "newcomers" eager to grow the economy, while also enjoying tax benefits.
Honestly, the crappy condo colonizers should just steal baseballs and taunt kids from behind a fence just like the dog from The Sandlot.
Strangely, I’d have more respect for that bizarre behaviour than nagging.
Unfortunately more trouble brews in the great homeland of baseball because America has a colonizing problem of its own, where activist groups have successfully destroyed a classic and iconic brand. Is this for health and safety purposes?
Actually this one is for the virtue of inclusion.
Boy Scouts of America has been renamed (but not Girl Scouts of the USA...).

We just need an Everyone Scouts and a Girl Scouts, not a Boy Scouts.
If I were to rewind back to the 90s and imagine a future devoid of baseball games and boy scouts, I'd think one of those cheesy sci-fi stories had played out where an evil mastermind takes over the planet. Seriously, is there a crazy witch woman in some castle maniacally laughing with lightning in the background?
"And now I've taken their baseball and boy scouts. Nothing can stop me now!" Although more likely a moist lady suffocating her thighs in a tax funded office chair.
Sadly, everyone has a moist evil villain to blame.
It's the Capitalists, the Communists, the Left Wing, the Right Wing, the Arabs, the Kabbalist Khazarians, or yada-yada-yada, but my answer is much simpler.
Masquerading as virtue and righteousness, evil has a deep tap root that sprouts every few generations. And it isn't a person, place or thing, but rather an idea. From the materialist standpoint ideas don't exist as separate entities. Have you ever asked yourself these questions: Where are ideas? Why can’t they be measured with an instrument? Do ideas have a position in time and space or even an energy quantity?
Ideas tend to get reasoned away as neuroelectrical patterns, and yes that's one way to look at the idea of ideas, but if we consider ideas to exist on a separate plane, then we get a sense that this world is some kind of intersection that unfolds through our minds, as if thoughts were the ripples across a mystical gateway. And paints a strange image that evil ideas are very real, but just far enough away out of touch.
Naturally so, the battle of ideas could be considered spiritual warfare.
What proceeds through discourse is a derivative of one idea gaining ground over another. And so current events are delayed results from ideological precursors played out like a live action drama. Consequently, the trajectory of events are derived from the invisible ideological struggles within your mind and the minds of others.
As an example, the difference between a free market and neo-feudal economic system are the ideas that posses a population, which only become real after the mind precipitates behaviour. If a slave population were granted the liberty to direct their own lives they'd quickly find a way back to servitude, and likewise dissident free spirits would resist against any shackle of subjugation with vengeance. Indeed the dictation of our dramatic world is directed through ideas allowed passage through the mind, which is why every tyrant tries to monopolize and control thought.
A good reason why writing, reading and speaking freely are all so very important.
Now ask, what's the common cause of every insane event in the last few years?
Simply put, rotten ideas brought forth through the mind are made "real" by action, implying that problems aren't one side or another or some superficial label. Instead the root cause lies within the subversive ideas fed to children and adults, which grow into tall beliefs and bad attitudes that then blossom into palpable behaviours.
Understanding how the mind intersects with the hidden world of ideas is key.
There's a natural rhythm to opening this gate. Recognize that mental stress is a state produced by perceptual opposition inducing dissonance, likewise its inverse, perceptual agreement, creates gratification through affirmation. Oscillating between these two poles is known as operant conditioning, and can fundamental alter which ideas we actively or passively entertain. Symbols in rhythm can open our minds like a mystical spell that invites great wonders or maddening horrors into our realm.
Undoubtedly, this process develops the majority our beliefs, and thus our perception of reality, which can be cleverly engineered through media, entertainment and the arts. From this perspective, a portion of the mind is symbolically programmable, which should be evident considering the volume of public hysteria over extreme purely symbolic ideas that don't exist in normal day-to-day life.
Like an infected sliver causing pain, rotten ideas present as madness as they clash with rejecting outer worlds. Fortunately, honing emotional intelligence is one method to identify and remove these painful infecting splinters. Without impulsive action, one can observe the dance between perceptual opposition and agreement and find the offending idea to yank out with tweezers, much like removing a bloodthirsty tick.
Tragically though, very few utilize this skill.
It requires one to view the mind as if it were a tunable vehicle, but the materialist or zealot would never entertain such an extreme yet simple idea, because the ideas planted deep within their minds forbid it from ever becoming real.
What rotten ideas have possessed people to behave like tyrants, stomping on the dreams and joys of the innocent?
Lawyer Olivier Sequin, who works with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, believes the “government’s hate speech is so subjective and vague that just about anything from political opinion to criticism can fall into its net.”
Bill C-63 defines hate speech as any communication that expresses “detestation or vilification” of a person or group of people. Individuals and groups can complain to the Canadian Human Rights Commission that they have been offended by speech that discriminates against them. One must remember that the Human Rights Commission has deemed Christmas as “racist.”

One evil idea is the liberation of the will, often phrased do as thou wilt.
This idea was popularized by Aleister Crowley and is generally associated with Satanism. Funny enough, or frighteningly so, the idea is embedded throughout entertainment, specifically children's entertainment portrayed as "follow your dreams."
Compare the "follow your dreams" mantra with the traditional hero's journey where the hero is "called to action." A call to action is different than following your dreams; one is a call to be of service to others and the later is a call to be of service to oneself.
Generations who chased these selfish pursuits, valiantly battling those who opposed those dreams, have ripened into bitter fruit born from an evil perennial root.
"Oppression" in this vernacular is anything that demands inner restraint and a respect for tradition, minimizing services to the self. Considering "follow your dreams" through its multiple variations, no doubt you'll see a nasty swath of selfishness polluted throughout media and entertainment. Pride is the cardinal sin, leader of the fallen, which has been unchained from its prison in Hell, and now grows enormous.
An unrestrained inner will projects its former restraints onto the outer world.
As an unpopular idea, no celebrity or glistening star will ever sing the praises of restraint, because asceticism doesn't feed an ego that hungers for stardom or glamour. Likewise the obsession with safety and protection are projected virtues to hide an ugly and dangerous inner ego waiting to tantrum whenever met with limitation.
There is no material solution to these problems because it's an infection caused by a mental splinter, which has to be removed — or else. Ideas are real, and very dangerous to the mind and body. Henceforth the ego must fall like lightning from heaven and be chained once again. Observe yourself, your thoughts, your feelings and what flows from your imagination, then command your actions with a noble temperance.
Act gracefully only when necessary because your mind is full of rotten ideas, like a jester playing a nasty joke on an ignorant fool.
And beware that the most evil of all ideas is trying to take control.
True freedom requires temperance, prudence and asceticism.
Excess, indiscretion and self-indulgence are chains disguised as liberation, which can and will be used as meat hooks to control the material body, steering its mind to allow the worst ideas to come to life. Moderation will yield more opportunity and choice than subjugation to debt or pleasure, because modern excess is a desert illusion painted by indiscriminate borrowing which leads to a barren wasteland of nothing.
One must take from the self in the now to give to others in the future.
Else new generations will become the mind slaves of sorcerers and rulers of darkness.

People need to confront the implications of being for sale in an environment where the worst people imagineable have such extensive control over money.
