This is a wonderful article, Theodore! I am especially intrigued by the links for making bacon grease soap and candles. I already save bacon grease and use it for cooking, but these other uses are fascinating! I’m planning to watch a couple of the videos this afternoon!
I haven't tried the bacon grease soap yet, but I'm assuming the lye calculations are for lard. I like to double check and rework the soap recipes, because I don't want to get burned, literally.
The Three Rivers Homestead series is really good! I watched her last year harvest, preserve and somehow take care of all her kids at the same time. Very practical, and I like practical.
The formula is a nice high level organizational heuristic. It forces you to cover previous, current and future states. Since everything is technically energy then it should be able to model most things.
Works really well with money, I think, and in this case it's a neat way to differentiate between growing food vs storing food.

I like practical as well. I’ll watch those first.
Handy and practical. I'll have to study your community insurance formula too.
Glad to hear it's handy and practical :)
