I've been wondering for years when they would come for the woodstoves. I assume they have not fully tried to outlaw them because most of the worlds poorest cook and heat with wood.
Wonderful essay and reflections on our current troubles. Moral courage, humility, civility: these things are sorely lacking in our culture at present. You and other men like you are exactly what we need to start the shift.
It comes down to which sacrifices you're willing to make.
Do you sacrifice your convenience and comfort for the freedom to live as you like, or do you sacrifice your freedom for convenience and comfort?
I hope more people choose to seek freedom, but sadly, I agree that Western society has been massacring freedom for convenience and comfort for a while, and it's not going to change any time soon.
