Someday soon an institution will emerge that has not been for quite some time, a heavenly(symbolic) patriarch that offers us authority not by threat of penalty but by love as though a father, having authority placed upon this entity, this school, this “thing”. My goals are through education and awakening the genius within man, that the idiots have courage to learn and be authentic and the malevolent know fear.

Someday soon the board will flip and the other side will be in power, don’t fall victim to delusions of the game, transcend it all entirely.

Heros only arrive after a journey through Hell; it'll take some time and trials first, but I'm not too worried. I feel like life is a never ending song, and we're just going through an unsettling melody before we get to the next chorus.

Well, you're a librarian! Nice work -- yes, that's it. I did look up Amazon to find a few for eleven bucks or so; one was, indeed, to be found at a Salvation Army store -- but free is better; Many Thanks.

Yeah, 1984'ed or "market censored" for lack of interest.

I've only recently discovered Substack -- and, well, it's too good to be left alone.

Concerning libraries, when it came to any commentary on v*cines, I couldn't find any, even by interlibrary loan. Before the pandemic, it was more of a market model of censorship -- if the book didn't get checked out often enough, it was taken off the shelves.

I tried to look up "Angels Don't Play This HAARP" by Nick Begich, an old paperback by a fine science writer treating the difficult subject of atmospheric heaters and directed energy experiments. It had actually been on the shelf at our small local branch, but when asked for it again, it was declared damaged, requiring removal from the library.

Is this it?

I'm thinking after it's not freezing and awful that I'll go on a tour of small bookstores and thrift shops to find old books to fashion into a library. Never know when things might get 1984'ed.

Substack has some good writers with some interesting ideas. Little bit of drama recently...

Hopefully it gets left alone and stays a free press / magazine.

Wow, I simply cannot believe a post this shimmering, brilliant, well-argued, AND humorous, has only seven comments. What's that I smell? Is it the burnt toast of shadow banning? This post expresses exactly what so many of us have felt in our bones about the past 3+ years. And yet, our friends continue to genuflect before the sacred cows of mainstream media like the oh so sad Atlantic. WHY WHY WHY?? we scream, how can you be so freakin' DIM? Thank you, Theodore Atkinson, for this wonderful public service.

I'm flattered and humbled by your kinda words.

In terms of the seven comments, like a fat chick in a dive bar I'll take what I can get, but it's nice to know that other people feel the same way I do or at least recognize that something is very wrong. There's definitely hope for the future as long as there's other people like you that keep the human spirit burning, not to say it won't suck or be brutal haha, but life finds a way :p

Haha it feels like an appropriate description, especially when suffering through their posts and arguments. Those are the first words that come to mind...
